Nothing Phone (1) was a smartphone that, of course, did not leave anyone indifferent. Its successor, the Nothing Phone (2), has been in development for quite some time, and today we finally got to know some important details about this new smartphone, including its specifications and release datethanks to the interesting leak we are about to share with you.
On the hardware level, the Nothing Phone (2) will become a high-end smartphone, as according to this leak, it will use SoC Snapdragon 8 which has not yet been announced. If confirmed, the change in range of this new smartphone would be evident as the current model uses the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, a chip that would be equivalent to the Snapdragon 7.
The Nothing (2) phone screen will be of the type AMOLEDalthough its size has not yet been specified and it will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It will most likely move around 6.5 inches, which has FHD+ resolution and repeats the flat surface of the original model. The same can be said about the front, where we expect an all-screen treatment with a front-facing camera integrated into a floating island.
The base model will have the configuration 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage capacity, but it will be possible to buy Nothing Phone (2) in a more powerful equipped version 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage capacity. To improve performance in specific cases, this smartphone will have a virtual RAM function that will allow a part of the storage to be used as memory.
The battery, another of the most important points of any smartphone, will be 5000 mAh, which is an increase of 500 mAh compared to the original model and we can expect this terminal to be equipped with the latest version of Android customized with the Nothing layer. In terms of design, we expect less evolution from what we saw with the Nothing Phone (1) and the same build quality, i.e. aluminum frame and double layer of glass.
The launch of the Nothing Phone (2) should take place in third quarter of this year, i.e. between the months of July, August and September. We do not have specific details on the sale price, but if this improvement in specifications is confirmed and the jump to a high-end SoC, it is clear that it will end up being more expensive than the Nothing Phone (1), a terminal that hit the Spanish market with a price of 469 euros in the basic configuration . With that in mind, Nothing Phone (2) It could be in the range of 600-700 euros.
