During the Cloud 11 event held on Tuesday (7), OnePlus announced its first tablet. OnePlus Pad comes with weight specifications, with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and 12 GB of RAM. According to the company, the announcement is part of a new vision for a broader ecosystem that includes headphones, smartwatches, smart TVs, and now tablets.

Rumors have already pointed to the launch of the company’s first tablet. According to OnePlus President Kinder Liu, the future will require fast, fluid, and streamlined device experiences, and the company hopes to deliver that to consumers with the OnePlus Pad. “As we enter the tablet industry, we hope that the industry’s best and unique OnePlus experience, fast and smooth, will bring more vitality and power, and provide users with a better choice.”

With a 11.6-inch display and 7:5 aspect ratio, the OnePlus Pad is designed for work and play. The manufacturer calls the display a “ReadFit” screen with a 144Hz refresh rate that is optimized for reading and has more vertical space than other tablets. The device also includes Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio, a full keyboard and magnetically attached touchpad, and a OnePlus Stylo stylus.

The 9510mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC fast charge guarantees 14 hours 30 minutes of video and fully charges in just 80 minutes. The tablet has also been optimized to last up to one month on device standby. Thus, the user can go several days without using the tablet, and when he needs it, it will not need to be charged before use.

OnePlus introduced the Buds Pro 2 headset

During the same event, OnePlus announced the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, the company’s next generation of headphones. The Buds Pro 2 has a similar design to the Buds Pro but comes with a 60 mAh battery for nine hours of continuous playback. Spatial sound and noise reduction up to 48 dB.

The new Buds Pro line of headphones measure 24.3mm x 20.85mm x 32.18mm. The company also reduced latency from 94ms in Bluetooth 5.2 to 54ms in Bluetooth 5.3 LE. In addition, the headset is IP55 certified for dust and water jet resistance, but it is important to note that the device is not waterproof. The Buds Pro 2 will go on sale February 16 for $179, according to the company.
