Ukrinform reported that the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) reported this on Telegram.
“During January, about 1,300 battery-powered vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian fleet. Of these, 97 percent are passenger cars, about 3 percent are commercial cars and a bus,” it said.
According to Ukravtoprom, this is double what was recorded in January last year – 663 units.
The share of new cars with electric traction increased from 20% in January 2022 to 23% this year.
Volkswagen ID.4 became the most popular electric car for the first time. During the month, 275 cars of this model were registered in Ukraine (130 new and 145 used).
Second result Nissan Leaf – 171 units. (2 new and 169 used).
Tesla Model 3 in third place – 108 units. (all used).
The fourth most popular model is DongFeng Honda M-NV – 104 units. (41 new, 63 used).
Tesla Model Y, which completed the top five of the electric car market in January – 64 units, including one new electric car.
Renault Kangoo ZE traditionally ranks first in the electric commercial vehicle segment. 16 of these minibuses were purchased and all of them were used.
As reported, during 2022 Ukrainians bought 13,600 zero-emission cars, which is 1.5 times more than in 2021.
