Geekerwan posted a video on his YouTube channel showing the process of replacing the Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 855 single-chip system, and it was decided to turn it into a full-fledged gaming smartphone.

The idea is that the three-year-old flagship smartphone has enough power to run modern mobile games and could be bought for very little money in ancient times. This Xiaomi Mi 9 with a cracked back panel was purchased for around $100. The author of the video claims that any smartphone on the Snapdragon 855 is a great option for gaming.

The modder has connected two additional batteries, increasing the total battery capacity to 9900 mAh. It also overclocked the single-chip system and display so it could run at higher frame rates.

Everything is packaged in a 3D printed box with a universal bracket for mounting to the game controller.

Before the Genshin Impact changes, the maximum graphics settings produced an average of 39 frames per second. After the fashion, productivity increased to an average of 50 frames per second.

With all the changes made, the price of the device went up to $ 150.
