Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov informed Ukrinform about this.
“There are currently no problems operating the Starlink terminals in Ukraine. Today we received the first few thousand Starlinks from the German government as part of a new batch of 10,000 terminals,” he said.
The Minister explained that the Starlink terminals have helped save thousands of lives, because thanks to this equipment, the energy infrastructure, the “breaking points” and the medical facilities, where doctors can perform extremely complex operations, continue to operate.
“Elon Musk is one of the biggest private donors to our future glory. According to our estimates, SpaceX’s contribution exceeds $100 million. We hope Starlink will operate more steadily in Ukraine,” Fedorov said.
As reported, information appeared on the network that the American company SpaceX took measures to prevent the Ukrainian army from using the Starlink satellite Internet to control drones in the region during the war with Russia.
