Google released version 110 of its Chrome browser, which removed support for Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems. This is the first version of the web browser that only supports Windows 10 and 11. Older versions will continue to work on Windows 7 and 8.1, but they will receive more updates. In other words, they may experience security issues.

Among other innovations, the use of biometric authentication and automatic filling of passwords are mentioned. This only works if you have an authentication device like a fingerprint scanner. Many security issues have also been fixed in this build.

Also, the new version has Nvidia RTX Video Super Resolution support. This allows you to increase the resolution when playing in the browser. However, this only works with RTX 30 and RTX 40 graphics cards.

And web applications in a new browser open in a new window or an already open one – this is chosen by the developers. This approach allows you to run games separately so they don’t get lost in a series of open tabs. Keep in mind that after the release of this version of the browser, about 12% of all computers may be left without updates, as almost 10% of computers currently have Windows 7 installed and 2.28% Windows 8.1.
