Atomic Heart’s requirements changed a few days ago, and they did so at launch, which means that this game will end up being more demanding than originally expected, and that we’ll need a more powerful PC to run it properly. This is a challenging game, that’s clear, and for a better orientation of the user, the Mundfish team, responsible for this title, shared an expanded and much clearer list of requirementsas it indicates the resolution, FPS rate and graphic quality we can expect from each level of requirements.
However, there is no equivalency error that we can consider serious Ryzen 3 1200 is better than Core i5-2500.
In this case, there is no major equivalence error, although the Core i5-6500 has a higher IPC than the Ryzen 3 1200 and is therefore higher than this.
There is a CPU equivalence error because the Ryzen 5 1400 has four cores and eight threads, while the Core i5-6600K has four cores and four threads. The correct equivalence would be a Ryzen 3 2300X.
The graphics card equivalence is also bad, the closest would be a GTX 1070 Radeon RX Vega 56.
Another major CPU equivalence error as the Ryzen 5 1600 has 6 cores and 12 threads and the Core i5-7600K has four cores and four threads. The closest would be the Ryzen 3 2300X.
We also have a flaw in the GPU equivalence and the closest would be the GeForce GTX 1080 Radeon RX 5700.
We also have equivalence errors in CPU and GPU. The closest processor to the Intel Core i7-7700K would be a Ryzen 5 2500Xas they both have four cores and eight threads.
The closest equivalent to the GeForce RTX 2070 Super would be a Radeon RX 6600XT.
In this case we have no significant equivalence errorsalthough the Core i7-8700K performs slightly better than the Ryzen 5 3600X.
I can confirm that the quoted FPS is the minimum we can achieve with each configuration in demanding scenes, so they represent the worst possible scenario. This means that average frames per second will be higher.
There is a very simple explanation for the 8GB RAM requirement and 12GB RAM recommendation. We will only be able to play Atomic Heart with 8 GB of memory, but we will not be able to activate the shader optimization option (we’ll need 12GB of RAM for that), which means we’ll have to deal with some stuttering issues due to loading shaders when entering new zones.
