The editors of the Android Police portal have compiled a list of the five best Android smartphones of 2023.

The flagship smartphone in the first place was the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The advantages of this model are its enhanced features over its predecessor, its high-quality camera and outstanding smartphone software features. Poor battery life, high price compared to the base model Pixel 7, and “questionable design elements” were among the shortcomings.

Next is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which receives flagship design and performance, high autonomy, long-term software support and a high-quality camera with a resolution of 200 MP. But as experts note, the smartphone turned out to be “boring” and expensive, and the camera algorithms are often wrong.

The base Pixel 7 was in third place. Experts appreciated its design, which is in many ways better than the old model, its high-quality camera and flagship performance at an “affordable” price. The lack of a telephoto lens and poor autonomy were classified as disadvantages.

In fourth place is the budget Google Pixel 6a, which offers considerably higher performance, a compact design, long-term support and a high-quality camera at a lower price than its competitors. However, the smartphone’s lack of screen brightness, poor communication quality and short battery life can confuse potential Pixel 6a users.

The last smartphone at the Android Police summit was the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. Low cost and good ergonomics are cited as advantages of the device. A weak battery and an average camera are among the disadvantages of this model.
