OneDrive is a popular cloud storage option not only because of its competitive price, but also because it comes with various Microsoft 365 subscriptions. However, there is always room for improvement when it comes to software development, and Microsoft is keen to focus fully. With the help of OneDrive.

The feature ID that was recently added to the Microsoft 365 plan is 117426. This item indicates that Microsoft is working on a more unified OneDrive for the Web. This means that instead of just showing you the content you’ve manually saved on your OneDrive, the web interface will also show you the files and folders you’ve shared in Microsoft 365 apps. email.mail, Teams chat, and meetings.

There will also be an activity column showing updates to all your shared files. In addition to simplifying the UX a bit, the company will also introduce new filters so you can focus on the files you want. This updated interface is expected to become generally available next month.

OneDrive isn’t the only Microsoft utility to get updates. In fact, the company has also updated its Microsoft 365 roadmap to reveal some of the upcoming features for Whiteboard. Listed below:

  • Launch New Boards Using Templates (August 2023): this feature places the templates in the middle when creating a new board. When launching a board, users will be able to choose from a range of templates or explore all the templates to prepopulate a new board. Users can also start from scratch with suggested templates.
  • connectors [Прив’язка лінії] (August 2023):This feature allows you to create more efficient flowcharts and diagrams. This allows you to capture lines between different shapes and easily create new shapes and lines based on existing shapes.
  • Voting (July 2023): this feature will bring a more formal voting feature to the Whiteboard. This can be used to gather feedback from participants to draw conclusions during various events. It will have the option to be anonymous or not.
  • Migrating an existing Azure card (July 2023): This feature will migrate dashboards from your customer’s Azure storage to OneDrive for Business storage. More information will come as we get closer to the exit.
  • Import ADO/Jira Work Items (July 2023): Transfer ADO/Jira work items to whiteboards to brainstorm and generate ideas with your colleagues. (Note: The first version will only support work/school accounts and will allow you to import existing work items but not update them or create new ones).
  • Creation of circular tables and task lists (July 2023): Add new pivot tables and to-do lists directly to whiteboards and copy/paste them to other Microsoft 365 hosts to collaborate with others in real time.
