The Spanish manufacturer specializing in high-performance computing has announced the launch of Mountain GRAPHITE, a state-of-the-art notebook with Intel processors and the most advanced NVIDIA graphics.
“Powering a desktop computer in a laptop body…”. With this definition, Mountain begins to promote one of its star models. Like other similar models from major companies that we have presented to you since their presentation at CES (see the ASUS example), the aim is to offer laptops that are able to replace desktop computers in all kinds of tasks, games or running professional applications. And just a simple change of NVIDIA GPU drivers will allow us to play at a very good level or use equipment like Mobile Workstation, the manufacturer’s approach to this machine.

Large and powerful, the new Mountain GRAPHITE significantly improves on the previous version. Its screen is IPS 17 inches diagonal with native WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels) in 16:10 aspect ratio, HDR support, 100% DCI P3 color gamut and refresh rate 240 Hz.
Its processor is Intel’s Raptor Lake Mobile and not just any version as it is stocked Core i9-13900HX with 32 cores, a working frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, a 36 Mbyte cache and a large TDP of 157W. In addition to the graphics integrated into the Intel processor, usable for low-power tasks, the manufacturer has added powerful dedication RTX 4080 the latest generation “Ada” from NVIDIA with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory and enough to run any type of games.

You can equip up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM 4800 MHz on the two included SO-DIMMs. For internal storage, it has two M.2 to PCIe 4.0 slots for installing SSDs up to 2 TB in size and with the option of installing them in a RAID array. The brand claims to have reworked the cooling system from scratch to improve the thermal balance of the machine, something everyone needs to do given the power boost.
As regards connectivity, we see 2.5 Gbe Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 ports, HDMI 2.1 output, SD memory card reader and audio with an Intel chip with 7.1 multichannel support. Its keyboard is full-size backlit with a numeric keypad extension and complete with a multi-touch touchpad. Its 99WH 6-cell Li-ION battery should offer about four hours of autonomy. Its total weight is 2.6 kg.

Mountain GRAPHITE pre-installs Windows 11 Hole or Pro and is available on the manufacturer’s website with a base price starting at €2,999.
