Microsoft has released an update for the latest Windows 11. Windows 11 KB5012643 (build 22000.652) is an optional, optional update. It is not installed automatically, but can be downloaded manually via Windows Update (Windows Update Center) and from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
The update brings a huge list of fixes and improvements. In principle, they will all be available in mandatory auto-update on Tuesdays (Tuesday Patch) as part of the May update. However, if the system has one of the fixed issues, you can install the update now.
One of the main improvements – fixed the issue that could delay the OS startup by almost an hour – by about 40 minutes. It also fixed issues with incorrect video subtitle alignment and partial subtitle trimming, inability to use collapse, expand, and close buttons in the extended application window, the temperature display above the weather icon in the taskbar, and much more.
