The Raybird-3 unmanned aerial system has confirmed its ability to operate under countermeasure conditions through radio-electronic warfare.

Raybird-3 was developed by the Ukrainian company “AVK “Skaeton”, founded by a group of engineers and pilots, which develops unmanned aerial systems and light aircraft.

“The Raybird-3 drone has the ability to stay in the air and perform missions for 20 hours, and its maximum flight range reaches 2,500 km at a cruising speed of 120 km/h.”– said Yuriy Komak, head of the testing team, head of the scientific research and testing department.

The maximum take-off weight of the device is about 20 kg, and the weight of the payload is up to 7 kg. UAVs are launched from a mechanical catapult. Landing is carried out by parachute. The Raybird-3 is quiet in flight and almost invisible from the ground.

The operating altitude of the flight is about 1000 meters, and the maximum flight altitude is 3000 meters. Thanks to powerful optics with remote control, the drone can see a target at a distance of 10 kilometers and automatically lock it with the possibility of transmitting video in real time at a distance of up to 100 kilometers.

Experts argue that although the Raybird-3 is officially a small UAV and belongs to the tactical class, its characteristics allow it to perform tasks at the operational-tactical level.

According to Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Raybird-3 showed itself well during the counterattack in the Kharkiv region. The invaders tried to shoot down a drone from the Buk complex near Balaklia. Raybird-3 evaded the attack and followed the enemy complex on its way to recharge. Then the drone transmitted the coordinates to the gunners. And they worked well on the composition of the ammunition of the Russian invaders.
