Samsung wants to add GPT Chat features to its smartphones

Samsung is working to bring cutting-edge conversational AI capabilities to smartphones and other consumer electronics, according to information published by Korean portal The Investor. In an interview in Malaysia, Samsung’s head of smartphones, Roh Tae-moon, cited GPT Chat as an example the company should follow.

The head of Samsung’s smartphone division, T. M. Roh (the acronym for which he is known), commented on the capabilities of GPT Chat. “Machine and deep learning ChatGPT shows breakthrough […] The language model will pave the way for the future development of Samsung.” Samsung is already using the power of artificial intelligence in several other products, including home appliances and even a robotic vacuum cleaner that can dodge your dog’s poo.

However, TM Roh’s talk seems to cover the wider use of AI, including the dialogue capabilities introduced by OpenAI’s chatbot, GPT Chat. Perhaps the Korean company is looking to the future and looking for dynamic implementations of AI technology in smartphones and other consumer products.

Chat GPT is a chatbot developed by OpenAI that has a high ability to solve problems and mimic human conversation. AI has recently taken over the Internet, prompting several companies to look for similar solutions. While some are concerned, others look at the technology with curiosity.
