British billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic VMS Eve plane made its first flight since October 2021.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by SpaceNews.

On Wednesday, February 15th, VMS Eve took off from Mojave Cosmodrome in California at 20:30 Kiev time.

It flew for over two and a half hours before landing in the spaceport. The plane reached an altitude of 12,650 meters.

The flight is said to be the first flight for VMS Eve since it flew from Spaceport America in New Mexico to Mojave in October 2021.

While in Mojave, Virgin Galactic performed extensive repairs to the aircraft, including replacing the center section holding the SpaceShipTwo spacecraft.

Meanwhile, on August 5, Virgin Galactic announced that it had to delay commercial space tourism services to the second quarter of 2023 instead of the first quarter.

As reported by Ukrinform, the founder of Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson, arrived in Ukraine last summer. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later noted that the billionaire’s visit is another proof that the world and celebrities support our state.
