A Alive announced this Wednesday (15) the activation of the technology 5G in eight more Brazilian cities in accordance with the schedule set by Gaispi / Anatel for places with a population of more than 500 thousand people. The following cities are covered: Contagem (MG), Juiz de Fora (MG), Uberlandia (MG), Campinas (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP), Sao José dos Campos (SP), Sorocaba (SP) and Duque de Caxias (RJ).

The expansion includes 20 new coverage areas in less than a week, as the company already announced an expansion to 12 cities last week. It is important to note that the service is already available in all capitals of the country.

Telecommunication company Vivo has launched 5G coverage in some areas and is already working on expanding to other regions of the proposed cities. The service is now available to all of the company’s customers who need a compatible device to access the network.

With more than 4.9 million customers in its database already using devices with the new network, the Internet will be even faster and with better quality in multimedia content or high-definition online games. The speed will be ten times faster than 4G, which will allow you to download a 1 GB file in about ten seconds, depending on the traffic at the moment.

The 5G network offers consumers immediate benefits with ultra-fast mobile Internet and opens up space for businesses to create immersive services and experiences with more frequent and effective use of virtual reality and artificial intelligence technologies.
