What about drive a car through any city in the world using only google maps? It’s an idea driving simulatorr, created as a plugin for Google Earth – is called 3D driving simulator – and which can be played today in the version below.

Some cities or regions, such as Manhattan and New York City, are presented in 3D, but the traditional Maps view remains applicable to almost all content.

Driving simulator: easy to use and fun

The idea here is that this content works as a pastime. Do you know when you open Google Maps and explore what it’s like to walk the streets of a particular region? The driving simulator offers the same thing, but using a small cart, with simple graphics and without a lot of resources.

Don’t expect any realistic aspects like crashes or rollovers. The idea here is to move in any direction, even if it means crossing buildings, rivers and other obstacles.

The simple interface even adds speed in miles per hour or kilometers per hour, just to add an extra dimension to how fast you move in the driving simulator.

Driving Simulator: How to play

1. Click the button to get started. “Start off”.
2. In field “Location Name”enter the name of the city you want to drive to and press “Go”. If you prefer, click “Preset Locations” and select some of the pre-registered options.
3. Choose how the map is displayed by selecting one of the options “Map”, “Satellite” or “Hybrid”which combines map elements with the satellite version.
4. Choose if you want to drive – “Car” – or bus – “Bus”.
5. Tilt the map or change perspective. To do this, select the buttons “Tilt Down”, “Tilt Up”, “North Up” or “Lead”.

Ready! Now just drive your car. Use the arrow keys or the W, A, S and D keys to move the car in any direction..
