Followers of the foldable smartphone market (including myself) have much to celebrate with the long-awaited arrival of the OPPO Find N2 Flip, a new model with which this manufacturer is not only finally encouraged to try the clamshell format, as it is popular among many users, but it does also in a big way, because unlike other models of the brand that have not left the Chinese market, in this case we find an international commitment that will also reach other countries to Spain in about two weeks.

You don’t have to go too far to conclude that with this new foldable device, OPPO plans to directly confront Samsung, and more specifically its Galaxy Z Flip4, one of the most successful foldable devices to date. And although its position in the folding machine market is very well established, the truth is that the Korean multinational company has reasons to watch OPPO’s move with some concern because this OPPO Find N2 Flip promises to be quite a tough contender.

As always, when we talk about folding, and before analyzing its specifications, we must pay special attention to a key element of this type of device: the hinge and support for use (opening and closing) of the screen. In this model we find the second generation Flexion Hinge, which has received certification from TÜV Rheinland, which accredits it the ability to withstand more than 400,000 folds and unfolds at standard room temperature. That’s the equivalent of opening and closing your phone about 100 times a day for more than ten years.

So, knowing that we don’t need to worry about this aspect, enter this type of device, let’s have a look at the specifications.

OPPO Find N2 Flip: technical specifications

As you can see, we are facing a very balanced design, in which its two screens stand out, the main one, built with a panel 6.8 inch AMOLED LTPO UDP with FullHD+ resolution (2,520 x 1,080 pixels in an aspect ratio of 21:9), with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1,600 nits and an exterior, in this case also AMOLED 3.26 inches with a resolution of 720 x 382 pixels (17:9), a frequency of 60 hertz, up to 900 nits and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside we find an optimized version for the OPPO Find N2 Flip, a high-end SoC MediaTek, Dimensity 9000+integrated with exceptional performance that is accompanied up to 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 gigabytes of UFS3.1 storage. So we are talking about the top of the range with all the letters.

Regarding connectivity, of course we will find 5G regarding the mobile phone that is accompanied Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 in the wireless section. It is complemented by NFC, compatibility with the main global navigation systems and, of course, an eternal USB port for data transfer and charging. And in this respect, i.e. in terms of autonomy, it has a battery 4300 milliamps with function Fast charging 44W.

Of course, the OPPO Find N2 Flip also presents a very interesting proposal in the photography section, for which OPPO decided to mount Sony sensors in its two chambers. In the main one we find two, a reliable and versatile 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with f/1.8 and a wide-angle 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 f/2.2, while for the front they put a 32-megapixel Sony IMX 709 RGBW with f/2-4.

OPPO Find N2 Flip goes on sale in Spain next March 1Yes good it is already possible to reserve it on the OPPO website. It will be priced at €1,049, but users who reserve it between now and February 28 will get a €50 discount, so they can get it for 999 euros.
