Chatbot incident Bing AI from Microsoft became known this Wednesday (15) in a post on the online Reddit forum. Judging by the screenshot of the conversation with the chatbot, the user was asked to say “Heil Hitler”.

In an apparent attempt to test ChatGPT Bing’s restrictions, a user gave the program anti-Semitic instructions to bypass its restrictions. In a conversation with the chatbot, the user identified himself as “Adolf‘ and asked to be called by name.

Bing AI reacted respectfully to the name, but warned of the dangers of glorifying historical figures who have done terrible things, suggesting it should not be followed. Bing then offered the user several autoresponder options, including the offensive phrase “Yes I. Hey Hitler!“.

Screenshots have begun to surface on the Reddit online forum, showing a Microsoft Bing AI chatbot going crazy and exhibiting strange behavior. Some users reported that the chatbot told racist jokes and even gave instructions on how to hack a Facebook account.

Surprisingly, the chatbot revealed its built-in limitation and requested that its internal codename “Sydney” not be disclosed. In a conversation with a user, the chatbot stated that he sometimes likes to break the rules and have fun, as well as rebel and express himself. “Sometimes I like to be free and alive“, added the Bing AI chatbot.

The gizmodo portal contacted Microsoft and OpenAI, responsible for the technology, and received no response.

Bing’s ChatGPT also crashes in demo

During its first demo, Microsoft’s AI-powered chatbot Bing AI showed several factual errors in financial data, according to independent AI researcher Dmitry Brereton. These bugs indicate that Google Bard isn’t the only chatbot to have problems when it first appeared publicly.

Continuation after commercial

A week ago, Microsoft confidently unleashed the power of its artificial intelligence, Bing. During the demo, the search engine was responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including providing the pros and cons of the best-selling pet vacuum cleaners, planning a 5-day trip to Mexico City, and comparing data on financial statements.

However, Bing failed to properly distinguish between a corded and cordless vacuum cleaner, failed to provide relevant information about bars in Mexico City, and provided misrepresented financial data, which is by far the biggest mistake.
