South Korean website Hankooki claims that Samsung is preparing to release the Galaxy S23 Fan Edition model in the second half of this year, which will significantly bring back the FE line. As you know, the Galaxy S22 FE was completely missed due to the lack of components and high public demand for Ultra. However, it seems that in 2023 they do not plan to remove this edition from their catalog, and the release is scheduled for August or September of this year.

Rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE should arrive with a 1st generation Snapdragon 8+ or 2nd generation Snapdragon 8 processor. However, since there has been no official announcement from the company, its specifications and technologies to be used have not yet been confirmed. It’s also worth remembering that they are fully focused on launching the first line across the planet and it should be a while before they officially introduce the next member of the Fan Edition family.

More than 1 million S23 series smartphones have been sold in South Korea alone and became an instant hit in the country. It even broke the previous version’s record with 70,000 more units sold than its predecessor. Having received many accolades for their performance and technology that is not inferior to other modern mobile phones, it will be very difficult for them to put their attention aside for a while to announce something new. Perhaps in the coming months, when the dust settles.

Rise of the fan edition

Since 2020, Samsung has decided to bring to the public “Fan Edition” – Fan Edition, literally. The popularity of the Galaxy S20 FE was such that they released the S21 FE the following year following the same pattern.
