It is quite possible that Huawei really wants to return to the market of single-chip systems. At least, the Huawei Central source claims that the company is already testing its new platform.

Unfortunately, there are no details yet. It is not clear what configuration this SoC will have, for which segment it will be designed, and on what technical process it will be based. However, it should be noted that due to US sanctions, Huawei cannot order SoC production from the respective semiconductor companies using modern technical processes.

It is worth noting that there have already been rumors about the return of Kirin platforms to the market some time ago, so the variety of such rumors in itself may imply that this is true. But not necessarily. Currently, Huawei does not use Kirin SoC in any of its latest smartphones. However, current models include the Kirin 9000 and Kirin 990-based models that are still on sale.
