LG continues to roll out Android 12 updates in the United States

Although LG has killed the smartphone business, it continues to support some phones released in the last few years. Although the company’s Android 12 versions are very slow compared to other phone brands, it is surprising that LG is somehow releasing these updates.

Following Android 12’s rollout on one of its most popular flagships, LG Velvet, last month, we’re happy to announce that another high-end phone from LG has received the V60 ThinQ update. However, it should be noted that the update is only valid for phones sold by T-Mobile.

LG continues to roll out Android 12 updates in the US

Several users have contacted Reddit to confirm that they have successfully upgraded their LG V60 ThinQ to Android 12, but it’s unclear how long it will take for the other two models sold by AT&T and Verizon, respectively, to receive the updates.

The changelog doesn’t mention what security fix is included in the update, but that’s probably less important than the fact that LG V60 ThinQ users are finally able to upgrade their phones to Android 12. The OTA (over-the-air) update is rolling out in waves, so it may take a few days for everyone to roll out, but those who haven’t received any notifications about Android 1 should try checking it manually.
