Using the company’s inter-satellite connectivity, the plan is expected to provide worldwide connectivity. At the same time, the company states that some interruptions may occur from time to time in the stable operation of the signal.

Although the service costs $200 per month, it promises to offer unprecedented flexibility for users who are always on the go, in addition to the basic $599 Starlink Kit.

However, it remains unclear how Starlink will achieve its ambitious goal of providing Internet access from virtually anywhere in the world, while pending regulatory approval in several countries.

The scandal with SpaceX regarding the restriction of the operation of terminals in Ukraine

On February 9, SpaceX announced that the company plans to impose restrictions on the use of Starlink by the Ukrainian military to control drones in the war zone. SpaceX President Gwyn Shotwell said: this was not foreseen in the original contract.

The very next day, the head of the Ministry of Statistics, Mykhailo Fedorov, assured that the Starlink terminals were working without any restrictions. Fedorov also noted that Elon Musk is one of the largest private donors to Ukraine’s future victory.

We estimate SpaceX’s contribution to be more than $100 million. We hope Starlink works more stable in Ukraine.

Starlink in Ukraine

• Mykhailo Fedorov called on Elon Musk to help Ukraine after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and possible restrictions on Internet access.
