The One UI 5.1 update automatically put all Samsung Galaxy S22 devices into maximum performance mode, another reason for excessive battery drain. If your device was in power saving mode before the update, it will be put into full performance mode without warning.

It’s important to note that this extra power consumption happens to those using the numeric keypad native to the Samsung system, if you have other keypads defined as core ones like Google’s, you probably won’t run into this issue.

Samsung is already aware of the issue and should fix it in future updates.
