How to Edit Contacts from the Gmail Sidebar
The Google Contacts feature was added to the Gmail sidebar in 2020. With this tool, you can quickly view your contacts and recent conversations. And with the new update, the process of editing these contacts right in the sidebar Google Workspace much simpler – no more need to access the reference directly ‘Contacts.google.com‘. Now you can directly make changes to the “Contacts” field:
- Access the sidebar in Google Workspace – in the top right corner – and open the Contacts app;
- In the Google Contacts app, tap on one of your contacts;
- You will see the “Edit” icon in the upper right corner, click on it;
- Modify the information as desired, then click Save.
You can also create new contacts, following basically the same process:
- Access the sidebar in Google Workspace – in the top right corner – and open the Contacts app;
- In the application, click “Create Contact”;
- Enter the name of the contact and add any information about him;
- Click Save to finish adding a new contact.
An update to make it easier to edit contacts through Google Workspace is now available to all Google Contacts users, regardless of whether they’re customers of a personal account, G Suite basic or business.
