The Very Large Telescope, operated by the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile, took pictures of the lightest exoplanet near the star AF Leporis.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Space.com.
The space object was noted to be located 87.5 light-years from Earth, in the constellation Rabbit in the southern hemisphere of the sky.
According to astronomers, this exoplanet is the lightest discovered in the universe today.

The star AF Leporis is as large and hot as the Sun. At the same time, the exoplanet is much younger than the Sun. At 24 million years old, it’s about 200 times younger than Earth.
The young age makes AF Leporis and its planetary system particularly intriguing to astronomers, as it can provide important insights into the evolution of the Solar System.
As Ukrinform reports, the NASA/ESA Hubble space telescope photographed a large-scale galaxy cluster in the Chinese constellation.
