Oppo has numerous smartphones in its portfolio and the brand is working hard to roll out the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 update to each of its respective devices. The brand has already updated most of its phones. However, the rollout continues as ColorOS 13 updates are now rolling out to more Oppo smartphones, including the Oppo F19, Oppo F19s, Oppo A77s and more. Details are here.
The latest devices to receive the ColorOS 13 update are Oppo F19 (India), Oppo F19s (India), Oppo A77s (India and Indonesia), Oppo A74 (Indonesia) and Oppo A95 (Indonesia). Currently, these devices are only getting the latest update in the regions listed in parentheses next to them. Oppo says it will soon roll out the software to other regions.
To install the update, you need to make sure that your device is running at least the Basic version of ColorOS 12. If you live in the above regions and have not yet received the OTA notification, manually check availability. Update it by going to the Software Update section of the Settings app on your phone and tapping the Software Update section.
It is recommended to back up important data on your phone before updating to avoid data loss due to incompatibility or other unforeseen circumstances. Also, Oppo recommends turning off the screen and charging the device overnight after installing the update.
Introduced at the OPPO developer conference in August 2022, ColorOS 13 offers many interesting new features and improvements. These include the new elegant Aquamorphic design, improved animations for a more user-friendly experience, enhanced security and privacy measures, and Material You icons that customize the UI.
