As the authors of the material found out, the most expensive phones of the iPhone 15 series will receive 8 gigabytes of RAM. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max came out with 6 gigabytes of RAM. The update will improve the performance of gadgets and allow devices to process more tasks in the background.
Experts noted that this is the first such upgrade since 2020, when Apple equipped the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max with 6 gigabytes of RAM. Most likely, the American company will announce a new line of smartphones at the presentation in September.
The report also says that the growth of the average amount of RAM in smartphones has slowed due to unfavorable factors in the market. “Companies mainly followed the hardware features that can be provided with the components in their current inventory while developing the devices that are planned to be released in 2022”– the authors noted, emphasizing that the situation with the components has improved significantly.
