With the Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX already on the market, AMD’s next step is quite clear, launching Radeon RX 7800, Radeon RX 7700 and Radeon RX 7600three graphics cards with which Sunnyvale will cover the mid-range and mid-range.

According to Chinese sources, AMD could launch these three new graphics cards sometime in the second half of the year, although it is not clear to us whether it will decide to launch at the same time or, on the contrary, will introduce the Radeon RX 7800 first and then the other two graphics solutions. Both options are open, so now we just have to wait.

The truth is that the launch in the second half of this year, even if it happens before the end of June, would mean a significant delay since the Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX hit the market last November. Overall, it would make sense as AMD could use that time to create a more comprehensive release.

These same sources predict that the Radeon RX 7800, Radeon RX 7700 and Radeon RX 7600 will hit the market with very competitive prices, meaning that in theory they will economical by current standards from the mainstream consumer graphics card industry, a market where prices skyrocketed a few years ago and where there has yet to be any real standardization.

AMD should do the same with these three graphics cards as it did with the Radeon RX 6000 series, that is, divide each of them into two different models. If confirmed, all these lines should be arranged like this:

  • Radeon RX 7800 XT: high-end for gaming in 4K with all guarantees.
  • Radeon RX 7800: cheap high-end for 4K gaming.
  • Radeon RX 7700 XT: mid-range for 4K gaming, albeit with small sacrifices.
  • Radeon RX 7700: Upper mid-range for 1440p gaming with very high FPS rates.
  • Radeon RX 7600 XT: midrange for 1440p playback with all guarantees.
  • Radeon RX 7600: Inexpensive mid-range for gaming at 1440p with a stable 60 FPS.

I remind you that according to the latest information that I had the opportunity to consult, only the Radeon RX 7800 (both XT and standard) will use a multi-chip design which we saw in the Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX, and that both the Radeon RX 7700 and Radeon RX 7600 will have a monolithic GPU core, which means that the L3 cache, also known as infinite cache, will be integrated into the same encapsulated than the GPU.

Keep in mind that all the data we gave you before the introduction of the Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX they were wrong because, as I told you on previous occasions, all the media and reliable sources believed that AMD was going to double the number of shaders per compute unit, but in the end it was not. Therefore, when we said that the Radeon RX 7600 XT could have 5,120 shaders, we actually mean 2,560 shaderswhich is a figure that fits perfectly, since the Radeon RX 6600 XT has 2,048 shaders. The same goes for Radeon RX 7800 and Radeon RX 7700.
