Microsoft has released Windows 11 Moments 2 to the Insider test channel. It is available for the channel Release preview with the build number Build 22621.1343 (KB5022913) and it’s another big OS update.
You already know that Microsoft has changed the Windows development schedule by pausing the two big anniversary releases that Windows 10 started with. The latest strategy is to release feature updates based on what they call “Moments”keeping the system up-to-date while improving version stability.
The second of them moments it installs over Windows 11 22H2 and includes Lots of bug fixes and a few improvements. The system tray menu has been redesigned in terms of both appearance and functionality, and camera effects are easier to access when you’re participating in video calls or meetings.
The search box on the taskbar has received a major update and now includes more options and customization. There are also new power saving recommendations and the system tray (formerly the notification area) has been improved and icons can now be rearranged in the “Show hidden icons” drop-down list or moved to the taskbar. This update also introduced a touch main panel optimized for 2-in-1 devices that can be used as tablets.

When you join the Insider program, you also get the Insider Hub app, where you can follow the latest insider news, rate builds, and run missions with feedback. Insider Hub is already attached to Start, but if you can’t find it, you can install it. Like any testing program, recommended for use on non-production computers only as complete stability is not guaranteed. It can also be tested on virtual machines without affecting the installed system.
