“From Kherson to Kharkov, Ukrainian soldiers have reclaimed their land. And more than half of the territory that Russia had last year is again flying the flag of Ukraine,” he wrote in a tweet in which he shared a photo with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

February 24 marks one year since the start of the war in Ukraine, when Russian troops entered the country in an attempt to overthrow the Zelensky government.

In addition to military and humanitarian aid, the United States has imposed sanctions on many Russian entities, Attorney General Merrick Garland recalled in a statement today.
