The anonymous artist is known for his street art as a form of criticism and satire on morality, politics and consumerism. His art is valued in millions of dollars around the world. His most valuable work is worth over $25 million, making his work a target for theft.
Banksy’s art has been interpreted as a sign of hope in Ukraine. According to the official of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Torkunov, Banksy recalled that “light must overcome darkness.”
British street artist Banksy shared a video of his trip to Ukraine and the graffiti he left on destroyed houses in the Kyiv region.

He added that “Now it is important to counter the possible vandalism that we have seen in recent times. And we are grateful to our partners, safety engineers, who were able to find the most successful solution in difficult conditions and implement it.”
