A new feature being developed by the music app means some playlists are only available to NFT holders from the Fluf, Moonbirs, Overlord and Kingship communities, with the latter being a group that only exists on metaverse. The update is only available for Android as Apple does not allow tokens to unlock features in its apps.

The test region, which will last for three months, includes users from Germany, Australia, the US, New Zealand and the UK – with no prediction of when it might arrive in Brazil.

Among the songs released with the purchase of NFT are some well-known bands such as Led Zeppelin and Queen.

This is not the first time Spotify has ventured into the non-fungible token space. In addition, the music app also allowed artists to promote and sell their digital art in the form of tokens, a method that has dominated this market in recent years.
