According to TechCrunch, Instagram is currently testing a new feature – you can pin posts at the top of the profile. Some users of the platform have a new context menu item “Pin to your profile”.

The feature will work the same as in Twitter and TikTok: individual posts will appear at the top of the profile, and creators will be able to draw subscribers’ attention to important posts without forcing people to re-promote the tape. Instagram-owned company Meta has confirmed TechCrunch’s work on the innovation that will “mark posts on profile,” according to TechCrunch’s own words. Researcher Alessandro Paluzzi claims that this possibility first emerged in January.

Instagram users can now pin Stories content to their profiles – bloggers use this feature to organize popular content: a series of questions and answers, activity reports, and more. When it is possible to combine standard posts, influencers will open an additional source of income, making prices more visible in public advertising posts.
