As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Reuters.
SpaceX, the private rocket company founded by the US space agency NASA and billionaire Elon Musk, pointed to a technical error with the ignition fluid used to start the spacecraft’s engines.
About two and a half minutes before launch, NASA announced in a live webcast that the launch of the four-man crew of the six-month science mission will be delayed.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Crew Dragon capsule is scheduled to take off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 01:45 ET (6:45 am GMT).
The first backup launch for the mission was scheduled for Tuesday morning, about 24 hours after the first attempt to lift the rocket off the ground.
If Monday’s launch was successful, it was expected to take about 25 hours for the crew to reach the ISS, a laboratory orbiting about 250 miles (420 kilometers) above Earth.
The mission, called Crew 6, carries NASA’s sixth long-duration ISS crew to SpaceX since Musk’s California-based company began sending American astronauts into orbit in May 2020.
As Ukrinform reports, the American space agency NASA has carried out the 44th launch of the Ingenuity helicopter to Mars as part of a research mission that took a new photo during the flight.
