Apple launches satellite connectivity feature on iPhone 14, allowing smartphones to send emergency messages (SOS) when cell service is unavailable. The rest of the manufacturers will follow in the footsteps of the Cupertino company and we already know plans from Samsung, Qualcomm or MediaTek. The device (the dongle as you will see in the pictures) uses the MediaTek 6825 “Bullitt” chip that supports it and does exactly what it says: can be connected to any Android smartphone or iPhone via Bluetooth and, if necessary, allows emergency messages to be sent via satellite connection.
