The American company SpaceX has launched its newest V2 mini-satellites into space, which will provide an enhanced signal for the Starlink Internet system.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Space.com.
The Falcon 9 launch vehicle with 21 V2 mini-satellites was launched from the Florida space station on Tuesday, February 28 at 01:13 Kiev time.
The company explained that this happened about five hours later than originally planned due to “space weather” alerts.
Space weather is a set of phenomena that occur in the upper layers of the Earth’s atmosphere, the ionosphere, and near-Earth space.
The Starlink satellite group was deployed to its planned orbit 64.5 minutes after launch.
According to the company, the V2 mini satellites are smaller than the full-size version, but still larger and more powerful than any other Starlink vehicle SpaceX has launched into space to date.
As Ukrinform reports, the American company SpaceX has developed the latest V2 mini-satellites, which will provide an enhanced signal for the Starlink Internet system.
