Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple has resumed work on a new low-cost iPhone, the iPhone SE 4. It will go into mass production in the first quarter of 2024 and will receive a 5G modem developed by Apple itself. Earlier there were rumors that Apple was abandoning the iPhone SE 4 in part due to problems with the creation of its own modem. Now, all things considered, these issues have been resolved (if any).

Perhaps the most interesting thing, according to the analyst, is that the new iPhone SE will be a version of the iPhone 14 with minimal changes. This means that the current model will get almost the same body as the iPhone 14 and the same OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.1 inches.

Ming-Chi Kuo is known for his ties to the manufacturing supply chain. It has many years of experience and specializes in Apple products. For example, it predicted the exact launch date of the delayed white iPhone 4 in 2011, the MacBook Pro with Retina display in 2012, and correctly identified the iPhone 5s with Touch ID fingerprint scanners in 2013.
