It looks like the Chinese have invented a new device to facilitate long distance dating. Changzhou Professional Institute of Mechatronics Technology, filed a patent for remote kissing, a device that allows you to get the physical sensation of a kiss. Remote Kiss, equipped with pressure sensors, reproduces the movements and sensations of a kiss.
The Remote Kiss has taken social media by storm as it is a curiously designed technology that attaches to the bottom of a cell phone. ABOUT the device simulates the movement and temperature of the user’s lipsexcept for sounds. To use it, it is enough for the couple to have Remote Kiss, as well as a smartphone application that captures information about the kiss and plays it back.

The creator lived at a distance
The device has gained popularity on social media and is circulating on Twitter and Instagram, with several people calling it “weird” technology. Despite the comments, Remote Kiss’ chief inventor Jiang Zhongli claims to have come up with the technology after experiencing long-distance relationships.
“At my university, I had a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend, so we only talked on the phone. That’s where the inspiration for this device came from,” commented Zhongli. According to him, the patent was requested in 2019, but was only ready in January 2023.
Remote Kiss lets you flirt
The creator commented that the device was conceived not only for couples, but also it is also possible to “kiss” unknown people using Remote Kiss.. Users can kiss the device by uploading their kiss types to the app, which can then be tested by other users.
Now you can kiss people who are flirting and know if the kiss is right before meeting the person in person… or not. Remote Kiss is sold in China for US$41, which is equivalent to 212 reais in direct conversion. So, would you use the device with your partner? Or would you like to know someone’s kiss virtually?
