TCL Announces a Series of News to the Public While Attending Mobile World Congress 2023. In addition to showcasing a series of new cell phones with 5G connectivity technology at an affordable price, they also unveiled NXTPAPER display technology, which debuted in an exclusive tablet and more economical conventional screen model.
A new device unveiled by TCL with a new display technology has been announced with a price of $250. The cost corresponds to approximately 1.2 thousand reais according to the current quote. It also has a T-Pen sold separately, in addition to other accessories such as a Bluetooth keyboard, flip case, and screen protector.
New devices introduced by TCL
During Mobile World Congress, TCL introduced the TCL NXTPAPER 11, a more affordable and smaller tablet than the 12-inch model shown at CES. It features a 10.95-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels (15:9 aspect ratio) with paper texture and an optional stylus that supports up to 4096 different pressure levels.
TCL has improved its NXTPAPER technology in version 2.0, which reaches a maximum brightness of 500 nits, much higher than the previous version. In addition, the screen has an anti-reflective coating that allows you to use it in bright ambient light, and a special light sensor that adjusts the color temperature of the screen depending on the lighting conditions.
The new device presented by the manufacturer has a Helio P60T chipset, but does not have the ability to connect to mobile networks. It manages to capture the 5G connection thanks to the Kompanio 800T chip. It’s all thanks to Android 13, which has some additions to advanced features to make it easier for users to multitask.
TCL NXTPAPER 11 locally connects via Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. It also has an 8-megapixel camera and a 100-degree lens. To facilitate communication, it has two microphones and four speakers. To extend the life of the device, TCL has opted for an 8000mAh battery.
Initially, the hardware will only be available in Europe for $250. However, the company plans to ship it to other regions within the next few months with no set date.
Initial model and more economical
TCL also introduced the TCL Tab 11 which has two versions. The first one is in 4G and the second is Wi-Fi. Despite the obvious differences in connection, they have some similarities. That’s because both have a Helio P60T chipset (4x A73 + 4x A53 @ 2.0GHz, PowerVR GE83200) with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Continuation after commercial
The screens are no different either: a 10.95-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels (15:9) and support for an optional T-Pen stylus (4096 pressure levels). On the front of the device is a 100° wide-angle lens for an 8-megapixel camera, allowing for freedom of movement during video calls. Rear camera 8MP.
The tablet without a 4G connection is equipped with Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.0. There are four speakers and two microphones on board. Like its more expensive sibling, the Tab 11 is just 6.9mm thick and comes with an 8000mAh battery and an 18W charger.
The difference in connectivity is also responsible for differentiating the cost of devices. Available in stores since May, the Wi-Fi model costs $180, while the 4G version is slightly more expensive, starting at $210.
TCL Announces TCL 40 XE, TCL 40 X and TCL 40 XL Phones at MWC 2023 The manufacturer has launched three new phones, including the cheapest 5G from TCL.
