Samsung has released a new One UI update for its Galaxy Tab S8 series that includes security improvements as well as the February 2023 security patch.. The update is a continuation of One UI version 5.1, which the company previously released for its mid-range and high-end smartphones.
The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series comes in three different firmware versions: X700XXU3BWB4 for the Tab S8, X800XXU3BWB4 for the Tab S8+, and X900XXU3BWB4 for the Tab S8 Ultra.. The patch, which has a download size of around 1.87 GB, is now available in Switzerland and some other European countries.
Despite arriving in some parts of the world, no update date for the devices in Brazil has been set. In any case, as is traditional with updates for Samsung devices, it is expected that the patch will gradually roll out to all devices.
If you have a Galaxy Tab S8 series tablet and the One UI 5.1 update is now available in your region, go to Settings and click Software Update. From there, you can download and install the update by clicking Download and Install. There are also sites that offer to download updated firmware, but the consumer is responsible for this, not being the official way.
The Sam Mobile portal has published a video showing the main changes that the Galaxy Tab S8 has undergone since the release of the update. Although the manufacturer has introduced a number of new products, the main ones are focused on the camera and photos, making it easier for users to find.
The new software brings exciting features such as the ability to quickly adjust the angle of the selfie camera in the default camera app, a more powerful search in the Gallery app that lets you find other images of the same person, and the ability to view EXIF? ?and edit them by swiping the image.
Another new feature that has caught Samsung’s attention is image remastering, which has also been improved, and you can now create a shared family album in the Gallery app. The goal is to make everything related to finding images, photos, and files much easier, but those weren’t the only changes.
With the One UI 5.1 update, it’s easy to collapse or expand an app: just drag one of its corners. In split-screen multitasking, the launcher displays the most frequently used applications first. Split-screen multitasking on Samsung DeX now has a window splitter, making it easier to use.
Modes and procedures have been expanded to include more options and conditions, and the Weather app displays all the information you need at a glance. The app also features an hourly rainfall chart and a new dynamic widget.
The patch released for the tablet also allows you to continue browsing the same websites on your Windows PC that you accessed on the Galaxy Tab S8 through the Windows Phone Link service. Samsung Internet also now offers a general search between bookmarks and history, and the Smart Suggestions widget now contains songs suggested by Spotify.
Samsung Galaxy A04s arrives in Brazil with Exynos 850 for 1299 reais.
The device with a 50-megapixel camera and Android 13 will go on sale this week.
