Special Peace Jurisdiction (JEP) 94 boys and girls identified in Colombia who were victims of the recruitment and use of minors in the armed conflict in Colombia by government forces.
The decision was made by the Supreme Court, which specified in a statement on Wednesday that it was “a preliminary finding from the preliminary body of facts that was established as part of the jurisdiction’s investigation into Case 07:Recruitment and use of girls and boys in armed conflict‘, suggestive social force”.
The JEP Chamber of Recognition, created by a peace agreement signed by the government and FARC in 2016, said in a ruling that until January 30 49 reports received “which refer to acts of recruitment and use of boys and girls in the context of conflict.”
Of this total, 36 were represented by non-state institutions or organizations and 13 by state bodies.

The place with the highest number of cases is the convulsive department of Cauca (28%), followed by Valle del Cauca, Nariño and Antioquia.
Similar 85% of the victims are men and in 81 cases the army was accused of this crime.

“From their reports, the Chamber found that some of them were abused agents of the state, mainly in the processes of capture, detachment and demobilization, as well as in the conduct of hostilities, ”the court specified.
JEP intends to deepen its investigation into the recruitment and use of state force in actions and therefore urged victims to “apply for accreditation” in the case of the recruitment and use of girls and boys in armed conflict. (EFE)
