We spoke to some interesting Belgian technology companies in the MWC exhibition area. At the Brussels company Valkuren, data is at the heart of the organization.

The Mobile World Congress has a Belgian touch again this year. For several years, our country has had its own pavilion where companies from Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia can present themselves to the world. The Brussels start-up platform hub.brussels was also represented with its own stand at the fair this year, where we were able to get to know some up-and-coming companies from the region.

If knowledge is in data, then at Valkuren they have knowledge in abundance. Based in the BeCentral buildings right next to the train station, the Brussels-based company specializes in everything related to data management, data analysis, business intelligence and AI. CEO and Founder Valerie Zapico tells us more.

RP4PL

“We’re mainly here to showcase our RP4PL solution,” says Zapico. “This abbreviation stands for long Streamlined process for the product lifecycle. This solution helps product managers to predict a product’s lifetime and identifies the parameters that drive risk when developing and commercializing a product. For example, consider costs, maintenance, emissions and more.”

Like many business leaders we meet on the show floor, Zapico hopes to make interesting connections at Mobile World Congress. “We want to expand our platform. For this we are primarily looking for potential partners within the IoT.”
