A few weeks ago, GeForce Now, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service, completed three years. Over the years we’ve seen it evolve, how often it added new titles, how the quality of service improved, the way it reached more and more devices and also more digital stores… come on, we’ve seen it grow and it becomes to-day, as their numbers indicate, v an absolute success.
There were not a few voices who initially claimed that cloud gaming was not possible, that the speed of the Internet connection was insufficient, and that there was no Data Center capable of effectively supporting such a workload. And it’s true that the technical challenge was extremely complex, because unlike other activities where latency and performance don’t have as much specific weight, these factors are crucial in games.
As for these predictions, I think it’s enough to see our analysis of the GeForce Now RTX 4080, the highest subscription level of this service that allows you to enjoy games in the cloud, exactly the same as if you were doing it locally with a state-of-the-art computer in which you installed a GeForce RTX 4080. And the same if we are talking about the Priority subscription level, which I have been a user of for a long time and which allows me to enjoy a gaming experience that would not be possible on my computer.
But for those who haven’t tried it yet, my personal recommendation is not to settle for what we tell them and to try it yourself. GeForce Now has a basic level of access that is completely freeJust register, link your service account with the ones you have in digital game stores, and that’s it, you’ll be able to play. Obviously, advanced settings aren’t available in this mode, and you’ll probably have to wait a few minutes before you can start playing, but once you’re inside, you’ll be able to check out how it works in first person, and that way you can verify that it’s really like playing in the local environment.
Like every Thursday, today there are new titles added that you can play in GeForce Now, they are:
But NVIDIA has also already given us the next versions of this month, which will be the following:
So as you can see, GeForce Now closes the month of March with 19 new titles a list that is already huge and continues to grow.
