Apart from this device, Xiaomi has also suspended software support for Redmi Note 8T, Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi K30 5G Speed ​​Edition.

Almost all of the aforementioned phones were launched in early 2020. As some of the first models in these lines faced the same issue at the end of December, we expected Xiaomi to drop software support for them.

During the official software support period, Redmi K30 5G Speed ​​Edition, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8T received two Android updates. However, the Redmi 8A Dual, an entry-level smartphone, has only received an Android update. Among these four phones, the Redmi Note 8 was probably the most popular product of its time worldwide. It was the first device with four cameras in the Redmi Note series.

First of all, it had a very competitive price. Unfortunately, it was the last phone in the Redmi Note series to offer more bang for your buck. This is because the global COVID-19 outbreak soon followed and the entire smartphone market changed in the following years.
