According to the latest information from Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 12 family will also include a new model called Redmi Note 12S. Specifically, it has confirmed that the device should launch in the second quarter of 2023, with a launch on the European market this month or at least in April.

According to the informant, the names in the code of the Redmi Note 12S will most likely be “Sea” and “Ocean”. It is said that the Redmi Note 12S will be equipped with a MediaTek chip, but it is not yet certain which chip it will use. It is also unclear whether the device will support 4G or 5G connectivity. The Polish leaker also revealed that he learned from a Xiaomi distributor in Europe that the Redmi Note 12S will officially go on sale in mid-May.

We recall that the previous Redmi Note 11S was launched in February 2022 and positioned itself as a fascia media device. The smartphone comes with a 6.43-inch display, Full HD+ resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 11S comes with a MediaTek Helio G96, while for photography, the device integrates a 108MP main sensor, 1/1.52 inch size Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM2. The main camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 118-degree field of view, a 2MP lens for taking macro photos, and a 2MP sensor for taking photos with blurry effects. There is a high-quality 16MP camera for selfies.

Finally, in terms of autonomy, the Redmi Note 11S is equipped with a massive 5000mAh battery and supports fast charging with a maximum power of 33W. The smartphone has NFC functionality, 3.5mm audio jack and infrared emitter.
