According to the company, the smartwatch offers “enhanced training metrics” for runners in addition to health data such as heart rate change, sleep quality and training load.
Garmin releases the first smart blood pressure monitor
Garmin has already released other smartwatches and has expanded its portfolio with the Forerunner 965 and 265 series. The Forerunner 265 comes in two sizes: 42mm Forerunner 265S and 46mm Forerunner 265. 265S provides up to 24 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 15 days in smartwatch mode; 265 offers up to 20 hours of GPS usage and 13 days of smartwatch usage. Both watches have Pulse Ox sensors, Body Battery energy monitoring, sleep tracking, stress tracking, VO2 max tracking, menstrual cycle monitoring, and pregnancy tracking. The devices even offer two workout options: daily workouts or a series of videos from selected Garmin trainers.
Forerunner 965 is a more powerful version of the smartwatch with a 1.4″ AMOLED display, up to 31 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 23 days in smartwatch mode. It has all the features of the 265 models and can also record additional performance metrics such as exercise rate, real-time resistance information to manage effort levels, and detailed climbing metrics such as distance and height. ABOUT the smart watch also includes a built-in mapdesigned for high-level runners who are looking for as much information as possible during the race.
The Forerunner 965 will cost $600 (R$3,121 direct convertible) and will be released at the end of March. Forerunner 265 models will be available starting this Thursday (2) for $450 (R$2341 direct conversion). Both products are sold on the official Garmin website with shipping to the US and Canada.
