“Kovsar is a surveillance satellite with a resolution of 3.5 meters per pixel, which can be used for agricultural purposes, geodesy and demarcation purposes. The service life of an orbiting satellite is two years. Xinhua says the Hodkhod satellite has applications in the fields of internet of things, agro-industry, transportation and crisis management. told.
The agency adds that the contract for the launch of both satellites has been signed.
According to Iranian media, Kovsar is currently in the testing and final assembly phase after two years of development.
