Microsoft Intune Suite, a consolidation of endpoint management and security solutions, is now available to everyone after a trial period.
With the Microsoft Intune Suite, the software giant wants to offer a total solution for all endpoint security with a complete analytics panel instead of different data sets across different dashboards. With this, Microsoft provides IT teams with the tools to identify potential vulnerabilities and anomalies more quickly. Intune Suite was first announced at Microsoft Ignite last year.
In any case, the core of Intune remains the management of devices via different operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Android, Linux and iOS. The Intune Suite also includes a configuration manager for managing on-premises endpoints such as Windows PCs and servers.
In addition to additional endpoint analysis, the overall package also offers a new function called “Remote Help”. It enables IT helpdesk teams to remotely identify and resolve issues as if they were the users themselves. Currently, this feature is only available on Windows, but soon Android and macOS users will be able to enjoy the feature as well.
Future features
Soon, Microsoft Intune Suite users will also welcome Endpoint Privilege Management. Beginning in April, organizations can automate elevation and reduction of privileges without compromising security.
In the future, you can also use Microsoft Tunnel to better manage mobile applications in Intune. The application uses what is known as a micro-VPN to provide secure access.
Finally, later this year, Microsoft will add “Advanced App Management” to the Intune suite to create a complete catalog of applications to simplify deployment and automatic updating. Later this year, Microsoft will add “Cloud Certificate Management” to manage VPN and WiFi certificates for devices without on-premises infrastructure.
