The Google Play app store is starting to implement a new feature that I find very interesting, though its deployment It happens gradually as it was not commonly available at the time of writing. However, given its usefulness, I believe it won’t be long before we enjoy a global deployment.
This new function, implemented by the Google Play application store, is very useful because, depending on the configuration that our device has, it shows notifications in these apps that may cause us problems. I know someone is going to throw their hands behind their heads and tell me that this feature was announced in October of last year and yes it is, but it seems like it only went live a few days ago.
The notification displayed by the Google Play Store works in a very simple way. This store analyzes the proper functioning of each application when downloaded and installed on the deviceand assigns the specified operation to its hardware configuration. If the error rate registered by an application with the same hardware configuration reaches 8%, a warning message will be displayed, but only to those users who have a device with the same configuration.
I will give you an example so that you have no doubts. Imagine that the app accumulates a 10% error rate when used with the Galaxy S20, but only has a 2% error rate when launched with the Xiaomi 12. Well, a warning message It will only appear if you try to download this app using Galaxy S20but you won’t see it if you download it from Xiaomi 12.
This warning can appear not only depending on the problems that the application provides, such as closings and crashes, but also if it offers poor performance, so depending on the origin of each problem, we will see one or another type of message. Of course, this message will not limit us in any way, i.e. we can download the appbut we will already have a warning that it may not work well in our terminal.
If you haven’t received a notification yet, it doesn’t mean you don’t have access to this new feature, may mean that there is not enough data yet to assess the applications you use on your device or to assess the hardware configuration of that device don’t make any problem with these applications.
