One of the greatest companies in the world Apple may be gearing up for a new iMac later this year. Information published by Bloomberg indicates that the new hardware from the Cupertino company will have a 24-inch screen, exactly the same as the previous version, but with M3 chip done with a 3-mn process.
Even with a launch forecast for this year, the mass production of the new iMac should not begin in the next three months. However, Mark Gurman, the Bloomberg journalist responsible for uncovering the leak, said sales could begin in the second half of this year.
Details regarding the device are so specific that the journalist revealed that the new iMac could be available in the same colors it currently has: blue, silver, pink and orange. If the rumors are true, the hardware is at an “advanced stage of development” and that Apple is “conducting production testing.”
This isn’t the first time Bloomberg has indicated that Apple is working on a new iMac that will be released later this year. The company will be making some changes to the layout of internal components, resulting in them being “relocated and redesigned.”
One of the reasons Apple is working on a new device is the fact that iMac has an overdue update. That’s because Apple hasn’t updated the lineup in two years, making the 2021 model the first with internal silicon, as well as a larger screen size and more color options.
Rumor has it that the American company is working on releasing even more news over the next few months. Apple plans to release a new iMac, a 15-inch MacBook Air, an updated 13-inch MacBook Air, and a Mac Pro equipped with the M2 Ultra chip, Gurman said.
It’s important to remember that this is all just a rumor and Apple hasn’t released any official information, but the hardware will come with inside news for both Macbook and iMac. That’s because he hinted that Apple would introduce the M3 chip in the 13-inch MacBook Air.
